Tom was raised on a Kingston (formerly Pittsburgh Township) dairy farm which hosted a small sand deposit.

In the early 80’s Tom purchased a used tandem dump truck and began to offer his haulage services to various local companies. During this time he also began selling some of the product from the family pit.

Within a short period of time, Tom realized the potential of his property and the enjoyment of aggregate mining and expanded this service to include more refined products and greater volume. By 1988 he incorporated Keyes Sand and Stone. We now operate out of five licensed pits, have a newer fleet of tri-axle/pup dump trucks and a large assortment of extraction and production equipment.

We have a very professional and dedicated employee base, most of whom have been with us for many years. Our employee’s commitment to the company and to our customers is what sets us apart from our competitors and has made Keyes Sand and Stone a successful and respected company for many years. The loyalty of our customers and staff motivate us to seek new aggregate resources so that Keyes Sand and Stone will remain an ongoing service for many years and generations to come.
